Siddharth Anand’s Next Is An International Thriller Inspired By Sri Sri Ravi Shankar

Acclaimed filmmaker Siddharth Anand (‘War’, ‘Pathan’, ‘Fighter’) has joined hands with producer Mahaveer Jain for his upcoming project – a thriller inspired by true events and involving spiritual leader and humanitarian Sri Sri Ravi Shankar.

The yet to titled film is said to be an international thriller and will feature how Sri Sri Ravi Shankar’s interventions and efforts played a pivotal role in bringing peace to a civil war ravaged Colombia where 52 years of unrest was resolved without firing even a single bullet.

Set in Latin America, the untitled film will feature an international cast and crew and will begin production soon probably by the end of this year.

In the announcement video launched today, various leaders, influential and common people from across the globe are seen praising Sri Sri Ravi Shankar for his teachings and how he brings together people from all over there world to unite and stand for peace through his Art of Living.

A Padma Vibhushan awardee Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, also referred to as Gurudev, is a yoga guru and a spiritual leader who founded the Art of Living foundation in 1981. He believes spirituality is that which enhances human values such as love, compassion and enthusiasm. It is not limited to any one religion or culture. Hence it is open to all people.

In June 2015, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar met with the delegations of Colombian government and the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) and urged the latter to follow the Gandhian principle of non-violence. For his efforts to bring peace in Colombia he was awarded with Simón Bolívar Order of Democracy, Knight Cross grade by Colombia’s House of Representatives.
