Silo Author Hugh Howey Gives An Early Glowing Review Of Season 2

Apple TV+ renewed Silo for a second season in June last year. However, its production got delayed due to the Hollywood strikes. Now, we have received an exciting update about Season 2. Silo author Hugh Howey has dropped his early review of the upcoming season.

Taking place in a dystopian future, Silo focuses on an underground community, consisting of over 10,000 people, which resides in a giant silo comprising 144 levels. Rebecca Ferguson (Dune: Part Two and Mission: Impossible) plays Juliette Nichols, an engineer who operates the generators located on the lowest levels of the Silo. Apart from Ferguson, the show stars Rashida Jones, David Oyelowo, Common, Tim Robbins, Harriet Walter, Avi Nash, and more.

On Threads, Hugh Howey has shared his review of Silo Season 2. This is what he said about the forthcoming season:

“I’ve seen season two and it’s one of the best things I’ve ever seen.”

This is great news for the show’s fans, considering Season 1’s fantastic audience reception. Silo’s debut season, along with Ted Lasso, The Last Thing He Told Me, and Shrinking, boosted Apple TV+’s viewership by 147% in May 2023 (year over year). In addition, the positive critical reception also helped Season 1 in becoming an instant hit. On Rotten Tomatoes, Silo stands with a fresh score of 88%, based on 65 reviews.

As for Silo Season 2’s release window, Howey believes fans may not have to wait till 2025 to watch it on the Apple TV+ streaming platform. The sophomore season may arrive later in 2024. Stay tuned for more updates.
