Singer Shaan On Board Ilaiyaraaja’s Hindi-Telugu Film ‘Music School’

Top-notch singer Shaan has joined the cast of ‘Music School’, the Telugu-Hindi bilingual musical film that has been composed by music maestro Ilaiyaraaja. The film is being produced by Yamini Films, the content production company run by filmmaker Papa Rao Biyyala.

Ilaiyaraaja, the doyen of music in the south film industry, has composed 12 melodious songs for the film. Shaan will also sing one of those numbers in his alluring dulcet voice. Sharman Joshi and Shriya Sharan lead the cast of the film. They play teachers in ‘Music School’, who introduce students to the magic and refinement of music in creative and innovative ways. Shaan will portray the ex-boyfriend of Shriya Sharan’s character. He plays a successful musician and singer in ‘Music School’.

While propagating the need and importance of learning music in a student’s life, ‘Music School’ also slams the unimaginative education system in India, with its sole focus on Maths, Science and technology, in order to churn out doctors and engineers. The rest of the cast of ‘Music School’ is stellar too. It comprises names such as Suhasini Mulay, Benjamin Gilani, Prakash Raj, comedian Brahmanandam, Vinay Varma, Mona Ambegaonkar, Gracy Goswamy and Ozu Barua.

Hollywood choreographer Adam Murray, who’s earlier worked on films such as The King’s Man, Cruella and Rocketman, will helm the choreography of ‘Music School’. Well-known cinematographer Kiran Deohans will take charge of the cinematography of ‘Music School’.
