Sita The Incarnation: Baahubali Writer K.V Vijayendra Prasad To Pen New Film On Ramayana

All of a sudden, the ancient Indian epic Ramayana has become hot property for the country’s filmmakers. After T-Series and Om Raut’s Adipurush, and Madhu Mantena’s Ramayana project with Deepika Padukone slated to play Sita, one more filmmaker has announced an ambitious project based on the Ramayana. Titled Sita: The Incarnation, this one has something special going for it. The screenplay of the film will be written by none other than celebrated screenplay writer of several magnum opuses, K.V. Vijayendra Prasad. Well, that is quite a catch, indeed!

For those not in the know, K.V. Vijayendra Prasad’s famous works include Baahubali: The Beginning, Baahubali: The Conclusion, Magadheera, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, the upcoming Thalaivi, among others. He’s given scores of blockbusters in the Telugu and Hindi film industries. Sita: The Incarnation will be a pan-Indian affair to be made in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.

Alaukik Desai, advertising honcho and filmmaker, will direct the film, while Human Being Studio Productions are the producers. Manoj Muntashir will pen the film’s dialogues and lyrics. Manoj Muntashir has written the dialogues for the Hindi version of the Baahubali franchise. He has also written the lyrics of hit Hindi film songs, including “Galliyan” from Ek Villain, “Tere Sang Yaara” from Rustom, “Kaun Tujhe” from M.S Dhoni: The Untold Story, “Teri Mitti” from Kesari, among others.

The announcement of Sita: The Incarnation on Twitter read thus,

“An untold story of India’s largest divine epic ‘Sita – The incarnation’ is being written by #Bahubali’s veteran writer #KVVijendraPrasad and @alaukikdesai along with dialogue and lyrics writer @manojmuntashir, directed under the vision of ace director @alaukikdesai”
