Sony Liv has been a premium streaming platform for India. The streaming service has been providing Indian fans with tons of amazing stories in the form of web series and movies. Sony Liv also has been the home for many regional films that chose to go direct-to-OTT release. Sony Liv is one channel that might not be up on the scale with Netflix and Amazon Prime Video but has been continuously pushing boundaries as it brought brilliant content to the forefront. Sony Liv isn’t a streaming service that has run into problems but looks like now it has.
Sony Liv was supposed to release a much-awaited Tamil anthology film today. The film we are talking about is “Kasada Tabara”. The anthology film has been much awaited by fans and viewers and the promotions for the movie have also been high. The movie was supposed to release along with the Telugu movie “Vivaha Bhojanambu”, which by the way has already been released. Both the movies were dropped at around 10:30 p.m last night, which was pretty obvious. But just a few minutes later, fans weren’t able to see “Kasada Tabara”, but “Vivaha Bhojanambu” was up and running on the platform.
Fans still waited till midnight to see if it will be available then, since most of the time if it isn’t dropped earlier, chances are it might be out at midnight. But nope, “Kasada Tabara” was nowhere to be found. But, hours later, when Sony Liv was being flocked with questions about the streaming of the movie, Sony Liv’s Help Centre on Twitter came up with the message that the movie has been delayed and the next premiere date will soon be announced. Sony Liv mentioned that Kasada Tabara wasn’t available due to technical difficulties.
Hi, Due to some technical difficulty we won’t be able to publish the movie Kasada Tabara. We will soon let you know when we can premiere the movie. We sincerely apologies for this. Stay Tuned!

Now, Sony Liv wasn’t the only platform that was supposed to stream “Kasada Tabara”. Simply South OTT platform that functions outside India was supposed to release the movie too, but a certain reply on their Twitter page gave us the idea that it might not be streaming on Simply South as well. This isn’t the first time a movie has been yanked off of a streaming platform after it was released. This has happened quite a few times on Amazon Prime Video, but for Sony Liv, this might be the first.
As for when the movie will be released again, there’s absolutely no idea. But from the looks of it, it seems like the movie has been already pirated and has landed on people’s hands. Hence there are quite a few instances all over social media that show people watching “Kasada Tabara”. But we hope our readers won’t get into the pirated version thing and wait till the original movie drops.
