Sony Liv’s Sandwiched Forever is a fun story of a newly married couple who get sandwiched between their in-laws as their house is just a hop skip and jump away from them. What follows is utter chaos, unrest and not a lot of unhappy souls around.
Sony Liv’s Sandwiched Forever is headed by an incredibly talented cast of Aahana Kumra and Kunaal Roy Kapur while the supporting cast consists of Atul Kulkarni, Lubna Salim, Zakir Hussain and Divya Seth Shah who are all masters of their craft. I wouldn’t just call them supporting actors because they are just as crucial to the storyline as Aahana Kumra and Kunaal Roy Kapur who play the newlywed couple.
This family dramedy is the story of a Freelance game designer who works from home and a state-level badminton player who are enjoying the honeymoon period of their marriage, but fate has something else kept in store for them when they realise that they will be living just next door to their In-laws.
Their love seems to be oozing out, and their chemistry is refreshing and sweet to watch, but just as things seem to be getting in the mood, there is always an unwanted guest at the door. The clash between the ideologies of the elder and the younger generation, especially the way they deal with spats and the amount of personal space they need (or lack of it).
Sandwiched Forever will stream on Sony liv on 25th December and I hope that this easy-going family comedy brings a smile to the faces of many people.
