Sony LIV has just revealed the trailer and release date for the new season of its well-received Marathi series ‘Shantit Kranti’. The series releases on Sony LIV on 13th October, 2023.
Shantit Kranti is a Marathi series about friendship, wanderlust and self-discovery. Three friends take a simple road trip that turns into a life changing journey that gives them a chance to introspect and explore the unexplored crevices of life. Shantit Kranti signifies the epitome of peace and well-being, and the show beautifully portrays the camaraderie of the three friends in the most meaningful yet quirky way that instantly strikes a chord.
The events of Shantit Kranti Season 2 take place 18 months after Season 1. Shreyas (Abhay Mahajan) surprises the boys with the news that he’s getting married. The three boys decide to leave for Shreyas’s international bachelor trip. Things spiral out of control when they realize Shreyas is not even engaged, Prasanna (Lalit Prabhakar) has brought his baby along, and Dinar (Alok Rajwade) has booked them on a six-day pilgrimage to Nepal in a bus with ten strangers instead of the anticipated bachelor’s trip.
The three friends embark on yet another crazy yet fun-filled road trip, much like Shantit Kranti Season 1. Sarang Sathaye and Paula McGlynn return to direct the new season of the feel-good show. For those who don’t know, the duo are the founders of Marathi content page – Bharatiya Digital Party (BhaDiPa). Shantit Kranti is created by TVF in association with BhaDiPa and produced by Arunabh Kumar.
The series stars Abhay Mahajan, Alok Rajwade, Lalit Prabhakar, with Mrinmayee Godbole, Priya Banerjee, Priyadarshini Indalkar among others.
