Binged informed its readers of all the winners of this year’s Oscars. One very important film that was yet to stream on Indian OTT is The Whale. The film is extremely buzzy and was one of the top contenders at the Oscars right from the beginning.
Now, SonyLIV has bagged its streaming right and will be streaming soon. The interesting thing about SonyLIV, it also has the highest Oscar winning films of the year. You may already know, we are talking about Everything Everywhere All At Once.
Regardless, The Whale won the award in two categories. The first one is in “Best Make-up & Hairstyling” while the other one is that of “Best Actor In A Leading Role”.
Brendan Fraser has won the award in the Best Actor category and quite obviously Indian people will be looking for it online.
It’s again a big win for SonyLIV after the obvious. Regardless, The Whale tells the story of an obese unhealthy English teacher who eats his way to death. Meanwhile, he is trying hard to reconnect with his daughter which seems like a big redemption for him.
The film also stars Sadie Sink and Hong Chau in important roles.
But the most important information, The Whale will be streaming on SonyLIV from March 16.
