Premium Subscribers of SonyLIV have complained about getting too many ads. The premium subscription is meant for blocking them. Netizens are asking what is the use of spending so much money if they get ads even in the premium subscription.
Users have taken it to Twitter to complain about the problem and they have also said that the FAQ section of SonyLIV does not work at all and that the platform pays no heed to what problems the users are facing.
This is not the first time SonyLIV has frustrated and angered its users over and over again. Sometimes with a glitch that did not let fans watch their favorite sports program or sometimes With something else.
SonyLIV has let down its own subscriber base either with unnecessary advertisement or with bugs. If you have read our previous article on the same, you would remember how there were complaints about the platform showing up to four ads in the beginning of Shark Tank episodes.
The same blunder happens once more today, users with premium subscriptions too have to tolerate multiple ads. 10 to 12 ads on one episode of a show is not at all tolerable, at this rate SonyLIV will soon lose the majority of its user base.
There is no doubt that SonyLIV has produced some of the greatest movies and web series in India and that the quality of their content is unparalleled. But it is not only content that makes a user stay, a platform has to focus on the customer service as well. There is no point in showing these many ads and leaving the customers frustrated.
