SonyLIV Left Out Of Tata Play Binge Bundle!

Tata Play Binge has made a difficult decision to remove Sony Network’s OTT platform, SonyLIV, from its tray of streaming services. Already started from December 1, subscribers of Tata Play Binge will no longer have access to SonyLIV, citing concerns over a substantial surge in subscription prices prompted by the renewed contract terms.

Tata Play clarified its decision in a statement, explaining that the proposed price increase by SonyLIV during the contract renewal would have resulted in a significant uptick in subscription costs for Binge customers. As a result, the platform deemed it necessary to part ways with SonyLIV to maintain affordability and value for its users.

Despite this change, Tata Play Binge continues to offer a diverse range of entertainment options through its collaboration with over 25 other OTT apps. But, most platforms are merely for namesake as an average user would hardly consider consuming content from those apps. SonyLIV on the other hand is popular enough for the users to consider it.

To enhance its content library, Tata Play Binge has recently welcomed new partners, including Apple TV+, KLiKK, PlayFlix, and Fuse+. Notably, this marks one of the initial collaborations for Apple TV+ in the Indian market, expanding its reach to Tata Play Binge subscribers.

The removal of SonyLIV may be a disappointment for some Tata Play Binge subscribers, but they can still purchase its subscription separately.
