The 16th season of Kaun Banega Crorepati is currently being broadcast on Sony ETV as well as SonyLiv with a lot of sponsorships and TRP. The Sony LIV app’s KBC Play Along function, which lets users play KBC alongside the competitor in the hot seat, was added by the developers in 2018.
This feature lets everyone play the live KBC game alongside the contestant shown during the broadcast. While this feature had its winners over the years, it seems that SonyLiv is not paying much attention to it in 2024.
Fans have flooded social media with several errors and problems they have been facing in the app. The Play Along feature allots several points to the users after choosing the correct option and ranks them based on their overall points throughout the season.
However, most of the users have experienced how their rank automatically falls despite giving correct answers to each question in a considerable amount of time. Several have also stated how the number of points are decreasing after each question which is not even the format of the feature.
Users complained that they are facing several issues in the Android app where the points are not being added to the leaderboard. “If you play along KBC, You will not get updated cumulative with actual earned points they will reduce data as per their will.” wrote a user expressing his anger. To which, the official account members replied that they are constantly trying to fix the issue as soon as possible.
“Why are you not opening your eyes & solving your software issue.” Wrote another user showcasing how poor the service the team is providing to the users. The Play Along feature is certainly a hit among the users and their visible frustration regarding it displays the same. With loads of complaints and faults, SonyLiv might have to fix the issue as soon as possible to maintain its audience on the app.

We are facing points update issue in the leaderboard of KBC 16 play along on sonyliv app. Why are you not opening your eyes & solving your software issue. It isn't acceptable as we are putting our resources, watching show & participating in play along. Why don't you consider it ?

@SonyLIV themselves proved that they don't intend to take corrective action and this also proved that they are manipulating data. If you play along KBC, You will not get updated cumulative with actual earned points they will reduce data as per their will.
