Malayalam films mostly find a home at SonyLIV. There are tons of problems with the way Indian OTTs are dealing with the Malayalam cinema but we can’t deny the fact that the Malayalam movie industry is heavily collaborating with SonyLIV for OTT deals.
The platform has now sorted the next two months with prominent films and the promotion has also begun. Mind you, we are talking about August and September.
So what’s next on SonyLIV?
“Turbo” in August and “Thalavan” in September.
Turbo is an action comedy starring Mammootty. The film was not a financial success as it received mixed to negative response. The movie also starred Anjana Jayaprakash and Raj B. Shetty in important roles.
The next film is Thalavan. It received mixed to positive response and came out as a decent commercial success. The movie directed by Jis Joy talks about the much problematic internal politics within the police department that always hampers the rights of the common citizens.
It had Biju Menon, Asif Ali and Miya George in important roles.
We do not have any specific release date for those films as all we know is that Turbo and Thalavan will be getting released on SonyLIV in August and September respectively.
