Gullak‘s pilot season impressed the viewers with its simplistic relatability and it has returned to remind us once again of the simple pleasures of life with Gullak Season 2 on SonyLIV. A TVF creation and a SonyLIV original series Gullak season 2 is all set to launch only on SonyLIV on 15th January, 2021.
Gullak season 2 will bring back Uttar Pradesh’s Mishra family, where nothing has changed as such except their new anecdotes. Father Santosh is still working in the electricity department and his old scooter is also the same. The elder son Annu is a young man who usually remains busy without work and younger son Aman who still struggles with studies. And then we have the mother, Shanti who keeps following old customs and rituals which she believes will save the family from any bad luck.
Annu keeps trying to find ways to get a gas agency licence but when you belong to a middle class family in a small town nothing comes that easy in life. Meanwhile the family receives a wedding invitation but it invites only the father, starting a discussion in the family.
The show brings back quirky dialogues, funny instances and the fact that happiness lies in simpler things. Gullak season 2 on SonyLIV is ready to fill us with its warmth and joy. This feel-good drama by TVF will take us down the quiet by-lanes and into Mishra family’s home once again to live with them as they squabble and pass snarky remarks at each other while still loving each other deep within. Moreover, the show also highlights a completely different side of UP than what we have seen in some of the recent crime-thrillers also based in the northern state.
Directed by Palash Vaswani and written by Durgesh Singh, TVF’s Gullak season 2 on SonyLIV stars Jameel Khan, Geetanjali Kulkarni, Vaibhav Raj Gupta, Harsh Mayar and Sunita Rajwar among others.
