SonyLIV has just launched the trailer of the much-awaited ‘Rocket Boys‘ Season 2. And going by the trailer, Rocket Boys Season 2 promises even more intrigue and thrill than the debut season of the popular show. SonyLIV has also revealed the release date for the new season of Rocket Boys, along with its trailer. Rocket Boys Season 2 will premiere on SonyLIV on 16th March, 2023.
Rocket Boys Season 1 focused on how India’s space and atomic programs were established by Dr. Vikram Sarabhai (Ishwak Singh) and Dr. Homi Bhabha (Jim Sarbh), the two stalwarts of the Indian science field. Rocket Boys Season 2 will centre on the hurdles that the duo face, in the wake of the death of Jawaharlal Nehru, then PM and patron of the space and atomic programs.
Rocket Boys Season 2 will also depict the rousing nuclear bomb test at Pokhran – India’s first nuclear salvo to the world. The series is written and directed by Abhay Pannu, who directed Season 1 too.
It is created by Nikkhil Advani, Roy Kapur Films & Emmay Entertainment, and produced by Siddharth Roy Kapur, Monisha Advani, Madhu Bhojwani. Rocket Boys Season 2 stars Jim Sarbh, Ishwak Singh, Arjun Radhakrishnan, Regina Cassandra, Rajit Kapur, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, Namit Das and Saba Azad in pivotal roles.
