SonyLIV has dropped a new trailer and release date for the second season of its much awaited socio-political thriller drama ‘Tanaav’ and this latest trailer grips you with its explosive intensity. Helmed by award winning filmmaker Sudhir Mishra and E. Niwas, ‘Tanaav’ Season 2 will premiere on SinyLIV on 6th September, 2024.
The trailer shows a highly trained and well educated terrorists named Fareed Mir aka Al Damsihq has come to the Kashmir valley to avenge his father’s death and has become a formidable threat as he plans deadly attacks on India. Trained in Syria for a long time, Fareed recruits new and young members like him for his mission. They are educated, well informed and much more confident than other illiterate terrorists, making them more dangerous.
Fareed is determined and focused but on the other hand Kabir is not going to stop until he finds him and makes him pay for every death he has caused. Will Kabir and the Special Task Group be able to find Fareed as soon as possible, before he exacts his vengeance and spreads terror? Things are getting personal this season and more so thrilling for the audience.
Written by Sudhir Mishra (‘Hazaaron Khwaishein Ais’, ‘Chameli’, ‘Serious Men’, who has co-directed the series with E. Niwas, ‘Tanaav’ is a socio-political drama filled with mixed emotions, revenge, betrayal, love and flawed characters.
Season 2 of ‘Tanaav’ is set in the beautiful Kashmir Valley and stars an ensemble cast that includes Manav Vij, Shashank Arora, Rajat Kapoor, Arbaaz Khan, Ekta Kaul, Sumit Kaul, Waluscha De Souza, Mir Sarwar and Sheen Das among others.
