Sony’s Madame Web Postponed. Insidious 5 Gets a Release Date

Marvel aficionados and movie buffs waiting for the release of the eagerly anticipated superhero film ‘Madame Web’ will have to wait a bit longer. Because as per Sony’s revised release dates for its upcoming films slate, ‘Madame Web’ has been delayed by three months and is now set to release in theatres on 6th October 2023 instead of 7th July. The film features Dakota Johnson as a mutant who has psychic abilities and can see within the spider world. The movie also features Adam Scott, Sydney Sweeney, and Emma Roberts.

Moreover, the fifth installment of the ‘Insidious’ film series is set for a theatrical release on 7th July 2023. The horror sequel will revolve around the story of a grown-up Dalton Lambert (Ty Simpkins) and will be directed by the parent film’s lead actor Patrick Wilson.

While Russel Crowe’s supernatural thriller ‘The Pope’s Exorcist’ will be released on 7th April 2023. The movie is based on the life of Father Gabriele Amorth, a real-life Italian priest who had performed more than a whopping 1 lakh exorcisms over six decades.

Besides, Marc Foster’s comedy drama ‘A Man Called Otto’ starring Tom Hanks has been preponed to 14th December 2022 from its earlier Christmas release. The story is about a recently widowed man named Otto, who attempts to take his life but is interrupted by his boisterous neighbours, thereby leading to an unlikely friendship.

Furthermore, the new release date for the Adam Driver starrer science fiction thriller titled ‘65’ has been set as 28th April 2023 from its earlier release date of 14th April. The film’s plot follows an astronaut who crash lands on an unknown planet and later finds out that he is not alone.

And Sony’s unannounced Marvel universe film has been given a new release date of 7th June 2024 from its earlier release date of 6th October 2023. Speculations suggest that it’s the next Spiderman movie, however, official confirmation is still awaited in this regard.
