The upcoming Malayalam movie “Djinn” starring Soubin Shahir in the lead role has revealed the theatrical release date of the movie. The movie’s distributor Straight line cinemas shared the news on their Instagram page with a new poster. Djinn will hit cinemas on May 13th 2022 according to the post.
The team hasn’t shared the release date yet. But since one of the producers and distributors of the movie has shared the date on their Instagram page, it is confirmed. The movie is directed by Sidharth Bharathan making his fourth directorial venture. Rajesh Gopinadhan wrote the script and the cinematography is done by the national award winner Girish Gangadharan.
The movie features Shine Tom Chacko, Sharafudheen, K.P.A.C. Lalitha and Leona Lishoy along with Soubin Shahir. The movie’s teaser has been revealed early which promises a different kind of movie exploring a new subject. Soubin seems to be possessed of some supernatural element just like the title suggests. Djinn is an Arabic mythical entity similar to ghosts.
Ever since the motion poster dropped in 2021 fans were eagerly waiting for the movie. But the unfortunate events that happened with Madras High Court has delayed the movie’s release. Now the release date is confirmed, fans are waiting for yet another electrifying performance from the Soubin.
