Blumhouse has dropped the new official trailer of Speak No Evil, starring James McAvoy. The upcoming horror-thriller is a remake of the 2022 Danish movie of the same name, helmed by Christian Tafdrup. Alongside McAvoy, we will see talents like Mackenzie Davis, Aisling Franciosi, Scoot McNairy, Dan Hough, and Alix West Lefler.
McAvoy plays Paddy, Ciara’s husband and father of two children. Paddy and Ciara (Franciosi) invite their friends, Ben (McNairy) and Louise (Davis), to their remote and picturesque home in the countryside. However, their trip turns into a nightmare after things take a sinister turn.
James McAvoy outshines everyone in the latest trailer. His deeply unsettling portrayal of Paddy will surely catch viewers’ attention. McAvoy’s character does many disturbing things to petrify his guests. In a scene, we see him showing his anger towards his children for not performing well to the folk-inspired “Cotton Eyed Joe”.
James Watkins has helmed Speak No Evil. The English director is best known for his work in Eden Lake (2008), The Woman in Black (2012), and Bastille Day (2016). On the other hand, Jason Blum and Paul Ritchie have produced Speak No Evil through Blumhouse Productions. Universal will release the film in theatres on September 13, 2024.
