‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’ was released in Indian theatres on 1st June 2023. The animated superhero movie was an instant hit among fans of the genre and the parent film ‘Into the Spider-Verse’ and performed very well theatrically. The film has grossed around an impressive $690 million at the box office globally.
From last month, ‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’ became available on Indian streaming platforms although it was on a rental / pay-per-view basis. But now, the movie is soon set to start streaming rent-free on the Netflix OTT platform. ‘Across the Spider-Verse’ will be released on Netflix on 1st October.
‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’ follows the daredevil multi-versal adventures of Miles Morales aka Spider-Man, who teams up with Spider-Woman Gwen Stacy and a new team of Spider-People to fight a powerful nemesis. But this creates a rift between Miles Morale and other Spider-People.
‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’ has received widespread critical acclaim. The film boasts of a fantastic critics’ score of 95% on reviews aggregation portal Rotten Tomatoes. Moreover, on IMDb, the movie has got a superb user rating of 8.8/10. Earlier, it also topped the coveted top 50 international movies (2023) list on Auckland-based movies-centric social platform Letterboxd.
Now, fans are eagerly waiting for the release of the third installment of the Spider-Verse franchise titled ‘Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse’, which was previously slated to release next year in March, but it looks like the film’s release will be delayed because of the ongoing strikes in the US.
