Looks like the Spider-Verse is expanding in an extensive level and believe me, we as fans, are becoming more happier as well as restless.
Just earlier yesterday, it’s been reported that the fan-favorite spider-pal ‘Silk’ is joining the MCU as a part of the Spider-Man’s universe along with Venom and Morbius. The fans would be more than happy to know that the shooting for Silk is likely to begin in late August, and would be scheduled to wrap production in early 2022.
Those who are not familiar with the character Silk, Silk is a fictional American superhero created by Dan Slott and Humberto Ramos in 2014. She goes by the name and she is one of the partners of Peter Parker aka Spider-Man.
The character of Cindy Moon has already appeared in Spider-Man: Homecoming in 2017 and in Avengers: Infinity War in 2018 as a classmate of Peter Parker and decathlon team member. Tiffany Espensen portrayed the character in both the MCU films.
But for now, it is still not disclosed who will portray the character in the series but producers of the show Phil Lord and Chris Miller are in talks with German-Korean actress Adeline Rudolph, who earlier appeared on Chilling Adventures of Sabrina and The CW’s Riverdale. Phil Lord and Chris Miller will collaborate once again after their award winning collaboration for Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.
Now as Amazon Prime is also onboard with the streaming rights of the ‘Silk’ live- action series, it looks like the streaming platform is becoming a front-runner for Superhero content after The Boys and Invincible. Now as we are looking at a 2022 release of the Silk series, we as fans, can only wait for further exciting updates on the same.
