The makers of much-awaited horror comedy franchise and Arya starrer ‘Aranmanai 3’ confirmed an October 14th release quite early on, for the occasion of Dussehra. Written and directed by Sundar C, the third installment of the horror-comedy franchise features a huge ensemble cast comprising Arya, Raashi Khanna and Andrea Jeremiah in the lead, alongwith Sundar himself, Sakshi Agarwal, Vivek, Yogi Babu, Kovai Sarala and Manobala among others. ‘Aranmanai 3’ had been given a UA certification by the censor board and the trailer dropped earlier this evening.
Bankrolled by Avni Pictures, the filming of ‘Aranmanai 3‘ was wrapped up a long time back and its release was long due, hence promotions of the film are in full swing. Incidentally, this film is the last film of late comedian Vivek. The trailer sets a spooky tone right at the onset and surely looks like a promising entertainer. Just like the previous movies, the plot centers around a haunted palace and a spirit possessing an inhabitant. Reportedly, unlike the previous films in the franchise, ‘Aranmanai 3’ will see the male lead (Arya) playing the one possessed, though there were also some rumours circulating that he may be playing the ghost as well. All in all, the film looks like it will live up to the expectations of viewers.
Interestingly, post the recent Vijay Sethupathi self-clash, actor Arya too, may see a clash between two of his films on the same day, them being ‘Aranmanai 3’ and the earlier announced action thriller ‘Enemy’ alongside Vishal. There is quite some buzz that ‘Enemy’ may get pushed to Diwali, though no official announcement has been made yet. With the anticipation surrounding the Arya-Vishal duo and the film touted to be an out-and-out action movie, the question remains whether the two films will eat into each other’s profits. Regardless, both releases are sure to pull crowds, so a Diwali theatre bonanza is surely in the offing.
