Kiran Abbavaram‘s SR Kalyanamandapam has released in theaters earlier this week. The movie has got disappointing reviews but performed well commercially at the box office. Two songs of the film were massive hits and have become very popular during the COVID second wave Lockdown. There popularity of the songs on social media, FM Radios, and Television Channels during the Lockdown resulted in extensive publicity for the film and ensured good openings.
Meanwhile, the Regional Telugu Exclusive OTT platform, Aha Video bagged the post-theatrical OTT rights of SR Kalyanamandapam. Buzz is that the movie will have its digital premiere on the 27th of this month. That means it will be available for around three weeks after its release date. The movie is expected to get good traction on the Aha Video platform.
Irrespective of the film’s theater performance, a huge section of the audience still did not watch the film in theaters due to various reasons. They will be eager to watch the movie on OTT when it is out. Meanwhile, Aha Video is yet to make an announcement about the movie premiere.
Directed by Sridhar Gade and bankrolled by Elite Entertainments, the film is set in the backdrop of Rayalaseema. Chaitan Bharadwaj has scored music for the romantic drama which has Sai Kumar playing a crucial role.
