Sriram Raghavan’s ‘Merry Christmas’ Gets A New Release Date Again

Maverick filmmaker Sriram Raghavan’s last directorial feature film was the Ayushmann Khurrana starrer ‘Andhadhun’, which came out five years ago in the year 2018. And after the film’s phenomenal critical and commercial success, cinephiles are waiting with bated breath for what the master of neo-noir thrillers has to offer next to his fans.

So, as you all know, Sriram Raghavan’s next film is a movie called ‘Merry Christmas’. Earlier, it was slated for a theatrical release on 8th December 2023. But as per the latest announcement by the makers, ‘Merry Christmas’ will now be released in cinemas on 12th January 2024 instead.

For ‘Merry Christmas’, Sriram Raghavan will be working for the first time in his career with the film’s two lead actors Vijay Sethupathi and Katrina Kaif. Besides the unusual lead duo, the film also features Radhika Apte, Vinay Pathak, Ashwini Kalsekar, and Sanjay Kapoor, amongst other cast members.

Although the precise plot details of Sriram Raghavan’s ‘Merry Christmas’ are being kept under the wraps, the film’s basic story revolves around how an incident on Christmas day drastically changes the lives of the two lead characters (played by Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi). The movie ostensibly revolves around the themes of love and obsession. The film has been shot in two languages: Hindi and Tamil with different supporting cast members but with the same lead actors.
