After watching Shah Rukh Khan’s cameo on the big screen in ‘Brahmastra’ recently his fans are growing impatient by the day to watch the superstar’s upcoming films like ‘Pathaan’ and ‘Jawan’ in theatres.
And while they will both arrive next year (‘Pathaan’ on 25th January, 2023 and ‘Jawan’ on 2nd June, 2023), we have some interesting news about the satellite and digital rights of Shah Rukh Khan’s Atlee directorial ‘Jawan’.
It is now learnt that ‘Jawan’ satellite and digital rights have been acquired by Zee TV and Netflix respectively. What’s more exciting is the huge amount of ₹250 crores charged by the makers to sell these much sought after rights.
Looks like both Zee TV and Netflix are super confident of attracting the viewers to watch their favourite Shah Rukh in and as ‘Jawan’ on their platforms irrespective of how the film performs in theatres.
Well this faith isn’t just because of Shah Rukh but also the combination of him with Atlee who has written and directed ‘Jawan’.cis well known for his ventures with Vijay such as ‘Theri’, ‘Mersal’ and ‘Bigil’. Moreover, ‘Jawan’ is an action thriller film, a genre Atlee has proven pretty good at time and again.
To add to all this SRK’s first look from ‘Jawan’ launched by the makers earlier had the fans very intrigued. Seeing him in a rugged, injured yet deadly look had raised the anticipations for the film even more.
‘Jawan’ stars Shah Rukh Khan in the titular role alongside Vijay Sethupati, Nayanthara, Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra and Deepika Padukone among others. The film’s music is composed by the young and talented Anirudh Ravichander (‘Master’, ‘Vikram’). Gauri Khan had produced ‘Jawan’ via her Red Chillies Entertainment banner.
