Disney is indeed the Darth Vader to Star Wars; they are indeed the biggest villain in the war. Excessive milking of the franchise is causing great harm, and that is reflected in the recent reactions of the fans. And now, Disney just disclosed their target release window for Star Wars: The Acolyte.
High Republic fans are definitely getting a moment to celebrate.
Set 50 years before The Phantom Menace, the series will focus on a former Jedi Padawan. As the official synopsis reads
“Star Wars: The Acolyte is a mystery-thriller that will take viewers into a galaxy of shadowy secrets and emerging dark-side powers in the final days of the High Republic era. A former Padawan reunites with her Jedi Master to investigate a series of crimes, but the forces they confront are more sinister than they ever anticipated.”
In terms of the ambition of the show, it will definitely be a launchpad for several new characters, breaking the monotony especially during the most recent Disney run.
And as it is being said, its connection with the High Republic is again giving it a boost of anticipation, making the stakes high for Disney, once again.
With such expectations, there is a release window, officially.
Star Wars: The Acolyte will be releasing on Disney+, that too, this summer. To fasten your seatbelts and revise the syllabus, you will soon be hit with a plethora of new characters and storylines.
