Apple TV+ is making inroads into the OTT space with some innovative content backed by reputable stars. Apple TV+ recently released the trailer of its limited series ‘Lisey’s Story’ that is based on the best-selling novel by ‘Stephen King’.
Stephen King has written some legendary novels throughout the years and many of them have even been adapted for the screen giving the viewers loads of memories and nostalgic trips. The story revolves around the life of Lisey Landon and her late husband Scott Landon who was a famous novelist. She struggles to confront her past memories with her late husband two years after his demise. Many unsettling incidents bring her face to face with events that she has deliberately blocked out.
‘Lisey’s Story’ has a star cast of Julianne Moore, Clive Owen, Joan Allen, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Dane DeHaan, Ron Cephas Jones, and Sung Kang. This limited series will consist of 8 episodes with each episode being written by Stephen King. ‘Lisey’s Story’ will be directed by Pablo Larrain and is executive produced by J.J Abrams, Ben Stephenson, and Juan de Dios Larrain along with Both Stephen King and Pablo Larrain.
‘Lisey Story’ has a grim background to it where the lines between reality and imagination slowly start to blur and the haunting visions of Scott may just become a reality for Lisey. The melancholic undertone is beautifully portrayed by the visuals as well as the subtle background score throughout the trailer, while managing to keep the viewers hooked to the subject.
Lisey’s Story will premiere on Apple TV+ on June 4.
