HBO’s post-apocalyptic drama / thriller TV series ‘The Last Of Us’ caused quite a stir on the internet when it was initially released in January, 2023. Since the conclusion of the first season, fans have been eagerly waiting for a release date for the new season. While an official premiere date is still unknown, Season 2 is all set to premiere in the first half of 2025.
An impressive adaptation of Sony Interactive Entertainment’s acclaimed mystery video game series of the same name, the show revolves around a dreaded smuggler, Joel, who joins hands with a young apprentice, Sarah, to fulfil the mission of escorting Ellie, a teenager across an apocalyptic world unscathed.
The ensemble cast includes ‘Game of Thrones’ and ‘Narcos’ famed Pedro Pascal and the breakout star of HBO’s ‘Game of Thrones’, Bella Ramsey in lead roles. The actors went on to bag an MTV Movie & TV Award for Best Duo for their roles in the series!
Alongside the leads, other original actors Gabriel Luna, Kaitlyn Denver, Young Mazino, Isabella Merced, will be reprising their characters for the new season. Since the new episodes will follow the story of ‘The Last of Us Part II’, numerous new characters like Abby and Dina will be added to Ellie’s life!
