The Venice Film Festival has started and a Paris based sales company has boarded the sales for the Indian thriller ‘Stolen’. Stolen is the only Indian movie this time in the Venice Film Festival.
The film is directed by Karan Tejpal and this is his debut feature. He has previously worked in large scale movies like ‘Lage Raho Munna Bhai’ and ‘3 Idiots’.he has also directed a short film named ‘No Anaesthesia’ that was much appreciated. The film is produced by Gaurav Dhingra under the banner of Jungle Book Studio.
The movie will tell the story of two young men from urban areas who get involved in a dispute with a mother who is desperate to meet her child. The film goes on at an extraordinary pace and is tagged by the makers as a ‘breathtaking action thriller’. Venice artistic director Alberto Barbera has claimed that the movie is an extraordinary piece of gem from world cinema.
The film is written by Tejpal, Agadbumb and Dhingra. The cast includes Abhishek Banerjee, Shubham, Mia Mealzer, Harish Khanna, Shahidur Rahaman and many other actors. Abhishek, who plays the lead role, is known for his roles in Pataal Lok, Stree and many more.
The movie will premiere globally on the 31st of August. The clip that has been released has a chase sequence and is a thrilling clip.
