A trailer for the stage show on the popular series ‘Stranger Things’ has been released now. The show will be telling the story before the events of the Netflix original but it might as well hold some clues and easter eggs for the final season.
Stranger Things is a highly popular series created by the Duffer Brothers. It stars actors like Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin and many more. It tells the story of the small fictional town Hawkins, where a human experimentation centre is opened and a gateway between the normal world and a hostile dimension called the Upside Down appears. The town now is affected greatly with strange incidents happening everywhere.
The play starts in 1959 with many major characters like the town’s police chief Jim Hopper and Joyce Byers’ lover Bob Newby being there in the story. Itbis directed by Stephen Daldry and co-directed by Justin Martin and Sonia Friedman Productions is producing the show.
Netflix is increasing the number of live events based on the worlds of Netflix movies and shows, ‘Stranger Things: The Experience’, ‘Bridgerton’ themed ball parties and a Glass Onion escape room. The Stranger Things stage show is definitely a novel approach and with its huge fan base, it will be very popular. Even if the platform decides to stream the show, there will be a high number of views.
This is indeed one of a kind move with adapting a Netflix series into a stage show. And there might be other adaptations and shows on Stranger Things as well.
