We all know what a phenomenon Stranger Things is. The show is one of the most popular titles on the platform and is also the flagship one.
Regardless, after insane success, the makers of the show have teased the possibility of an anime spin-off. While on a podcast, Matt Duffer teased the same possibility.
For the unversed, he along with his brother are the creators and writers behind Stranger Things. Now according to reports, the anime series would be around 6 hours long and would be set in the Tokyo in the 1980s.
Thus the name Stranger Things: Tokyo. Regardless, Matt Duffer said “An encounter with the Upside Down evolves into a grand adventure for video game-loving twin brothers living on the outskirts of 1980s Tokyo. The spin-off would be “1,000% different” from the original and added it’d be a story that connects to the Stranger Things world, but it really is more about how we’re telling that story.”
Needless to say, these details are very primitive as they may take a while to arrive. Meanwhile, Stranger Things Tokyo is in development. The real buzz is around the 5th season of the main show which is currently in the writing stage.
We will keep you posted about all the details of the spin-off once they are out.
