Stream Or Skip: Let’s Talk About Chu Streaming On Netflix

Netflix is once again the hot OTT platform, recreating the start of the red and black platform and revamping past complaints. Now, their content isn’t just literally hot but figuratively as well. Netflix has just released a Taiwanese series, “Let’s Talk About Chu,” and we should discuss it.

Plot-
Chu Ai, a wax therapist and sex education influencer, promotes ‘Only sex, no love’ on her social media channel. Engaged in a friends-with-benefits dynamic with Ping Ke, both harbor cynical views on love. Chu Wei’s tumultuous marriage with a disapproving professor pushes her to seek companionship elsewhere, prompting a soul-searching journey.

Yu Se on the other hand copes with a recent breakup, while their parents grapple with a strained relationship. Director Remii Huang infuses personal experiences in “Let’s Talk About Chu,” aiming to spark conversations on Taiwanese sexuality and the importance of healthy relationships in this Netflix series.

Cast-
The series features a star-studded cast, including Chan Tzu-hsuan, Kai Ko, JC Lin, Wu Chien-ho, Kimi Hsia, Umin Boya, Miao Ke-li, and Hong Sheng-te.

Number of episodes-

8, all released

Platform-
Netflix

Opinion-
Now, new things should always be welcomed as the platforms are already showing a massive scarcity of adult drama series. With Asian content gaining major global traction, “Let’s Talk About Chu” can be the talk of the globe. However, it has very little possibility of becoming a global hit, and Netflix also showcases its negligence regarding advertisements.

The show does have some ups and downs, especially when you talk about the camera work; it is a big plus. Some of the dialogues seem a bit weak, but that is what you can expect from a series like this.

Stream Or Skip-
If you need a new taste, go for it, but “Let’s Talk About Chu” is not a special watch. If you aren’t desperate to watch something right now, SKIP IT.
