Lovers of regional cinema have never had it so good before. There’s an increasing, and hearty, trend of movies from down South making it to OTT platforms, much to the delight of fans of the genre.
In the past couple of days, not one, not two, but three flicks from Tamil and Telugu cinema have begun streaming online. It’s most certainly a sign of the times, as digital players increasingly look to cash in on the huge regional market in India.
So folks, there’s Tamil cop-and-criminal thriller Kaaviyyan streaming on Amazon Prime Video. Telugu action entertainer Guna369 is streaming on Netflix India. Finally, there’s Siddharth starrer, Telugu flick Vadaladu streaming on Amazon Prime Video. The last is a remake of Tamil flick, Aruvam.
Well, with three regional movies streaming on OTT, weekend plans are sorted. What say?
