With every passing month, Disney Plus is spreading its wings into newer territories. Today, 15th September, the content giant launched in eight European countries, namely, Portugal, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Iceland, Belgium and Luxembourg.
Disney Plus in these countries will include the entire bouquet of offerings including content from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and National Geographic, along with exclusive Disney Plus original programming including feature-length films, series, documentaries, and short-form content.
At launch, subscribers get access to popular Disney Plus titles such as ‘The Mandalorian’, ‘High School Musical: The Musical: The Series’, ‘The World According To Jeff Goldblum’, ‘Togo,’ ‘Encore’, ‘Diary of A Future President’, among others.
Disney Plus will cost –
€6.99 ($8.30) monthly or €69.99 ($83.20) annually, in Portugal, Belgium, Finland, Iceland and Luxembourg
69 NOK ($7.63) monthly or 689 NOK ($76.28) annually in Norway
69 SEK ($7.87) / 689 SEK ($78.62) in Sweden
59 DKK ($9.42) / 589 DKK ($94.05) in Denmark
With these countries, Disney Plus is now present in 30 countries around the world, including Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Channel Islands, France, Germany, Iceland, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Isle of Man, Italy, Japan, Monaco, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Puerto Rico, Spain, Switzerland, the U.K. and the U.S.
Disney Plus has more than 60.5 million paid subscribers across the world. The new territories are bound to bring a considerable spike in subscriber base for the streamer.
