Independence Day is going to be a blast in the box office as multiple movies with big names are going to be released on the same day. This will ensure high ticket sales for the day and also tough competitions for the individual movies to show their domination over the box office. Among these movies will be Stree 2 which will be a topic of much discussion. Its prequel Stree, was released back in 2018 and immediately became the audience’s favourite movie in the genre of horror comedy. And now the creators have come up with a sequel movie that will be released on 15th August.
Stree 2 has already become a fan-favourite movie and is expected to do well after release. There are two major factors that can ensure a good opening for the movie. The first being the success of past movies of the same genre. Indian audiences usually appreciate light movies especially when it is a comedy. Multiple movies releasing on August 15 will ensure increased competition for Stree 2. But the major competition the movie will face will be from Thangalaan starring Chiyan Vikram. The impressive graphics, exciting medieval plot and a mega cast makes the movie a great contender for box office domination. Apart from it Khel Khel Mein can also expect good box office results due to the star studded cast and the unique and exciting plot. Ram Pothineni’s Double Ismart and Ravi Teja’s Mr. Bacchan can expect good response but not nationwide hence they won’t affect the viewership of Stree 2 significantly.
Finally speaking, as per audience response, and looking at the effect of other movies releasing on the same day; one can expect Stree 2 to be one of the top grossing movies in India on its release day.
