Vignesh Karthick’s mystery thriller Tamil language movie ‘Thittam Irandu’ aka ‘Plan B’ started streaming from July 30, 2021, midnight onwards on the SonyLIV OTT platform.
Even before the film’s release, the film had managed to create a decent buzz amongst OTT audiences. The presence of a talented performer like Aishwarya Rajesh further upped the curiosity quotient about the film. As per the recently published reviews by entertainment portals, ‘Thittam Irandu’ is a decent thriller with nice suspense despite its flaws.
Although the film was successful to create interest amongst prospective viewers, an issue with the film’s subtitles irked many viewers. The issue was related to syncing problem for the film’s subtitles. Some of the dissatisfied viewers took to Twitter to bring the subtitles sync issue to the attention of the streaming giant.
Subsequently, one of them further complained that the streaming platform had removed the English subtitles from the film. However, soon after, SonyLIV‘s official Twitter handle stated that: “Hi, we regret the inconvenience. The subtitles are updated now. Enjoy the movie.” So, the subtitles issue was eventually resolved by SonyLIV.
You might already be aware that SonyLIV has been churning out plans to foray into Tamil and Telugu markets. Albeit, OTT audiences did not expect today’s subtitles sync issue for the Tamil movie ‘Thittam Irandu’ from such a premium and reputed OTT platform.
In the current OTT arena with cutthroat competition, these technical issues should not happen in the first place and even if they do, they should be resolved immediately by any OTT platform, for a smooth and enjoyable user interface experience sans any annoying glitch. We are confident that SonyLIV must have taken notice of user feedback and will make sure that such issues do not happen hereafter.
