The trailer for the new season of the Emmy-winning drama ‘Succession’ is here. What’s more, it’s explosive and compelling and makes your hair stand on end with the sheer audacity on display, of the sundry characters. Kendall Roy (Jeremy Strong) is on the warpath against his power-hungry father Logan Roy (Brian Cox). At stake is the trust of the shareholders, and the fate of Waystar Royco itself.
The finale of Succession Season 2 saw Kendall rebel against his father and make his move to take control of the company. This season, the claws are out and daggers are drawn, not just of the father and son, but of the other stakeholders – Shiv (Sarah Snook), Roman (Kieran Culkin), Tom (Matthew Macfayden), Greg (Nicholas Braun), as well as a host of new entrants with hidden agendas. New cast members include Adrien Brody, Alexander Skarsgård, Hope Davis, Sanaa Lathan, Linda Emond, and Korean musical star, Jihae.
The trailer promises a power-packed third season of the family and corporate drama. The official logline of Succession Season 3 reads,
“Ambushed by his rebellious son Kendall at the end of Season 2, Logan Roy begins Season 3 in a perilous position, scrambling to secure familial, political, and financial alliances. Tensions rise as a bitter corporate battle threatens to turn into a family civil war.”
Succession Season 3 premieres on Disney Plus Hotstar (in India) on October 17, along with its US premiere on HBO Max.
