The trailer of the movie highlights the premise of the film without truly revealing anything. The necessary details like the characters and their romance etc. are shown. However, it also points towards a vital controversial element of Love Jihad. If handled well, it offers excellent scope for drama.
We have in the past seen many Hindu and Muslim love stories. However, the angle of ‘Love Jihad’ introduced here brings freshness. The actors look apt for the respective parts and seem to be doing a good job. Aditi Rao Hydari especially gives a dreamy vibe with her dancing skills. The overall making and setting make it look like the typical Malayalam movie, though.
Sufiyum Sujatayum will be the first Malayalam movie to have a digital premiere. Naranipuzha Shanavas directs the film. He has, in the past, made Karie. Siddique, Mamukkoya, Manikandan Pattambi, and Hareesh Kanaran etc. play the crucial supporting roles.
