Nielsen’s latest top ten overall streaming titles list (for the week of 25th September to 1st October 2023) is out now. And the legal drama series ‘Suits’ has continued its incredible record-breaking spree. The show has bagged the top spot on the coveted list consecutively for the 14th time this week. The show has registered an impressive 1.4 billion minutes of viewing for the period.
Interestingly, the ninth and final season of ‘Suits’ concluded in the year 2019 but it still found a place on Nielsen because it started streaming on Netflix US some time back and found renewed popularity among OTT audiences. The show’s underlying plot revolves around how a gifted college dropout Mike Ross lands a job with a successful New York based lawyer Harvey Specter. In India, ‘Suits’ is already streaming on Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and Jio Cinema OTT platforms.
Besides, the superhero series ‘Gen V’ has also found a spot on the Nielsen top ten original titles list for the same period with 374 million minutes of viewing under its belt. ‘The Boys’ spin-off series revolves around America’s superhero-only college for young adult superheroes which is run by the evil Vought Corporation, which is known for founding the elite but corrupt superhero team – The Seven. The story is about how these young college students try to find themselves and whether they turn out to be villains or heroes.
Coming back to the Nielsen top ten overall list, other titles include ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ (958 million minutes), ‘Love Is Blind’ (943 million minutes), ‘Reptile’ (740 million minutes), and ‘Sex Education’ (734 million minutes), amongst others.
