Suits fame Patrick J. Adams discussed the forthcoming spinoff in a recent interview with Variety. The actor also talked about his interest in returning to the world of ‘Suits’ as Mike Ross. Will he appear in the spinoff? Let’s find out.
Adams openly talked to Variety about whether he would return for the upcoming Suits spinoff. He also confirmed that the series would share a strong connection with the original show (2011-19). Check out what he said:
“I think it’s all in early stages. It’s a show in the ‘Suits’ universe, like a ‘Suits L.A.’ Anyway, our fearless showrunner Aaron [Korsh is] working on that. If I got the phone call, I’d be ready to suit up again. I loved the show, I loved the character and I loved working with all these people.”
Deadline revealed back in October 2023 that NBCUniversal greenlighted the Suits spinoff right after the writers’ strike concluded. The production house is reportedly dead serious about the upcoming project, considering the original show’s growing popularity after arriving on Netflix.
Creator Aaron Korsh has disclosed that the spinoff will take place in the Suits universe. In addition, the project will neither serve as a revival nor a reboot. It means that the events of Suits are canon. So, it also means that some characters from the original series may appear in the upcoming spinoff, including Patrick J. Adams’ Mike Ross. Other popular characters are Harvey (Gabriel Macht), Louis (Rick Hoffman), Donna (Sarah Rafferty), and more. These characters may get cameo appearances in the spinoff, which should have a new story and set of actors. Not much is known about the plot of the new Suits spinoff.
