Nielsen’s latest top ten overall streaming titles list (for the week of 10th July to 16th July 2023) is out now. And the legal drama series ‘Suits’ has continued its incredible record-breaking spree. The show has bagged the top spot on the coveted list consecutively for the fourth time this week.
Last week, ‘Suits’ boasted an impressive 3.67 billion minutes of viewing. And this week, the viewing figure has further increased marginally to 3.69 billion minutes. It has broken its own record once again and has become the most watched acquired title for the third time in a row.
Interestingly, the ninth and final season of ‘Suits’ concluded in the year 2019 but it still found a place on Nielsen because it recently started streaming on Netflix US and found renewed popularity among OTT audiences. In India, ‘Suits’ is already streaming on Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and Jio Cinema OTT platforms. The show’s underlying plot revolves around how a gifted college dropout Mike Ross lands a job with a successful New York based lawyer Harvey Specter.
After ‘Suits’, the second-most streamed title on the overall top ten Nielsen list is the Australian animated preschool series ‘Bluey’ (1.35 billion minutes), which has also recently won the TCA Award for Outstanding Achievement in Children’s Programming. ‘Bluey’ is streaming in India on the Disney+ Hotstar OTT platform.
The third spot on the Nielsen list has been bagged by the legal drama series ‘The Lincoln Lawyer’ (1.28 billion minutes), whose second season recently premiered on Netflix. The show is expected to stay on the Nielsen top ten streaming list because the second season’s Vol.2 viewing period figures are yet to be considered.
Other titles on the Nielsen overall top ten list include the Prime Video spy thriller series ‘Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan’ (1.14 billion minutes), the action-comedy flick ‘The Out-Laws’ (840 million minutes), and the fantasy drama series ‘The Witcher’ (669 million minutes), amongst others.
