It’s that time of the month when a huge number of titles leave Netflix. For those who don’t know, every month, a host of new titles are added to Netflix India. Simultaneously, several titles leave Netflix every month too – not just in India, but across the world.
This happens because Netflix doesn’t own the entire contents of its library. Some of the popular titles – both films and series – are licenced from their parent companies for a specific period of time. Sometimes Netflix renews the licence for a title. But most of the times, it doesn’t. Which means that the title leaves Netflix to return to its owner.
As August comes to an end, several popular titles are leaving Netflix India, including Tom Hanks’ seminal ‘Sully’, the Ocean’s series of movies comprising of Ocean’s Eleven and others, and more.
Check out what’s leaving Netflix India on 31st August, and watch your preferred title before it leaves Netflix for good.
Please note that expiring titles leave Netflix at 12 midnight India time.
