Sultan And Bharat Director To Make Digital Debut

The blockbuster director of Bollywood, Ali Abbas Zafar, is going to be the latest entrant into the digital medium. He will reportedly be making a political thriller for Amazon Prime Video.

The script work of the series titled as Tandav is currently going on and is expected to be completed soon. Gaurav Solanki who was the co-writer of the recently released hit film Article 15, along with its director Anubhav Sinha is roped in as a solo writer for Tandav.

The shoot of the web series will commence in October. The plan is to release it in the first half of the next year. The cast and crew details of the eight-episode series are not yet known, but it is understood that there will be 11 to 12 primary characters. Prominent male and female faces are being approached for these roles.

Tandav will be set in Delhi amidst the student and political platform. The clash of the student leader with a prominent politician belonging to two different spaces is said to be the core plot of the series. Ali Abbas Zafar has in the past made films like Sultan, Tiger Zinda Hai and Bharat with Salman Khan. It will be interesting to see what he does in this medium.
