Sun Nxt – the digital arm of the Sun Network is operational for quite some time but could not succeed in increasing its subscriber base. It has come as a surprise because Sun network is one of the oldest Television networks in India and has a huge library. Sun Nxt is banking on its latest show, Meelo Evaru Koteeswarulu to make an impact on the Telugu market.
The show is hosted by Tollywood Superstar NTR and will be aired soon. It is the Telugu version of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? show. Sun Nxt is planning to use this opportunity to impress the Telugu subscribers. The OTT platform besides streaming the show will also have questions for subscribers who can participate and win the money like the contestants.
The OTT platform will also have some exclusive content and behind-the-scenes content for the OTT users. This is a strategy Star MAA Tv does with the Disney+Hotstar platform for shows like Bigg Boss. This is a good chance for the OTT platform considering the fact NTR has a very strong support base and also a successful TV host. He previously hosted a show – Bigg Boss for another TV channel and the show has been a blockbuster for that season.
