An employed man, a date seller, a factory worker and all the people who crawl on the very surface of social hierarchy came together to make a film and outstand the limitations that the world posed on them. For most of the people who have seen what poverty looks like, this is nothing less than a fantasy. After all, making films is the business of super rich and glamorous people who even need 2-3 men who could lift their long dresses that would otherwise sweep the floor.
But a few men let pass these societal limitations and indeed made a film.
It stars Adarsh Gourav, Vineet Kumar Singh, and Shashank Arora in the lead roles.
The people behind the movie are Ritesh Sidhwani, Zoya Akhtar, Reema Kagti and Farhan Akhtar. Varun Grover is the writer.
It is based on the character of Nasir Shaikh. It will be about a bunch of friends who make films in their hometown Malegaon.
The film will open at the prestigious Toronto International Film Festival this September and will be released on the big screens in January next year.
Ultimately the movie will also stream on Prime Video. The trailer is indeed really impressive. It has those elements of sublime, and the emotions are transferred to the audience.
