In case you guys haven’t heard, CW is releasing another DC Superhero drama series – this time, it will be based on the man of steel and the love of his life titled Superman & Lois. Both the characters have been fairly regular on the television series Supergirl for sometime, but with (both) character portrayals being loved extremely by fans, CW decided to green light a series. A few months before the huge DC TV series five-episode crossover event Crisis on Infinite Earths, Superman & Lois was announced as a new CW series.
The trailer for this upcoming drama series dropped a few days ago and it sets a very different tone to other CW series like Flash, Supergirl, Batwoman, etc. Superman & Lois will be a dramatic series that much is true, maybe not as dark as Batwoman or Arrow, but definitely filled with its own brand of darkness. The series will act as a follow up on the journey for both Clark Kent and Lois Lane after the events of Crisis on Infinite Earths. Check out the trailer for the series down below:
Clark and Lois decide to return to Smallville to live the simple life and raise their two sons after years of fighting supervillains, monsters and alien invaders. Superman & Lois is set quite a few years after Crisis on Infinite Earths and both Lois and Clark are raising their now-teenage sons. Besides the scary task of taking care of two young men, both CLark and Lois worry whether Jordan and Jonathan (their sons) will exhibit the signs of their Kryptonian father’s superpowers. They reunite with some of their older friends, Lana Lang and her fire chief husband, Kyle Cushing along with their rebellious daughter Sarah. Lois’ father General Samuel Lane is also in the background, waiting to call on Superman should a villain make themselves known.
Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch will be returning to portray the roles of Clark Kent/ Kal El/ Superman and Lois Lane respectively. The series is developed by Todd Helbing and Greg Berlanti. The series will also feature Jordan Elsass, Alexander Garfin, Dylan Walsh, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Erik Valdez and Wolé Parks in prominent roles.
CW is not available in India and Disney+ Hotstar is currently not airing the DC shows which it used to – The Flash, Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow, etc. So we will have to wait and see where Superman & Lois will drop when February rolls around.
Superman & Lois will drop on February 23rd 2021 on The CW.
