Superman Might Follow The Oppenheimer Formula?

Is shooting on IMAX the new hot formula? At least that’s what recent trends speculate as Oppenheimer became one massive hit. And as you can expect, numerous films would be following in its footsteps, with DC’s first big project Superman potentially being the first big name on the list.

James Gunn is informing that Superman will be shot with an IMAX camera, which can have its pros and cons.

See, IMAX cameras are practically phenomenal, replicating the eyes of a human and can definitely gift you a once-in-a-lifetime cinematic experience. For a film like Superman, it will take it to a whole new level.

Though the concept of shooting a film in IMAX format is nothing new, it is now being used as an advertising tactic, and that is helping films to gross a good number at the box office. Especially considering the IMAX experience and ticket prices, it can always lead to success if things are done correctly.

Now, Superman will have a completely new audience, much different from Oppenheimer. Superman will definitely be more massy, especially considering the global DC fanbase. For the audience in the USA, it will definitely lead to a strong box office performance. And the world will definitely be watching the first work of the ‘new’ DC.

Will it succeed?

Look, I will be honest, even the strongest fans are losing some hope. It’s not regarding Safan and Gunn; they might be two of the strongest leads the universe can find. It’s the past of DC which might haunt them miserably.

Superman will definitely be a hit; how big, we don’t really know. But if Superman does well, DC will have to tie up their loose ends; they have to deliver the content to the fans.
