The supernatural horror drama anthology series ‘The Terror’, which premiered in 2018, has been greenlit for a third season at AMC. ‘The Terror Season-3’ will arrive sometime in the year 2025 on AMC and AMC Plus. Unlike the first two seasons which consisted of ten episodes each, Season-3 has been set in a six-episodes format.
The upcoming season of ‘The Terror’ has been titled ‘The Terror: Devil in Silver’ and it will be based on Victor LaValle’s novel ‘The Devil in Silver’. The basic plot of the show revolves around a working-class man named Pepper, who is wrongfully committed to a psychiatric hospital because of his bad luck and bad temper. In the hospital, Pepper must deal with the patients and doctors and even the Devil himself. The only way he can attain freedom is to face the entity which thrives on the suffering within the walls of the institution.
For the unversed, ‘The Terror’ Season-1 (2018) narrated the tale of two polar explorer ships which are sent on a mission to ascertain the existence and navigability of the Northwest passage. The crew must not only survive the harsh conditions but also deal with a supernatural presence.
The second season of ‘The Terror’ titled ‘The Terror: Infamy’ (2019) was set during World War II and revolved around a Japanese American community and how they dealt with a menace at internment camps.
‘The Terror’ Season-1 and ‘The Terror: Infamy’ hold impressive critics’ scores of 94% and 80%, respectively, on reviews aggregation portal Rotten Tomatoes.
