Suraj Venjaramoodu Could Pull Off A Trifecta With Roy

Suraj Vanjaramoodu is an underrated Malayalam actor. He has been making waves over the years with films like ‘Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum’, ‘Android Kunjappan Version 5.25’ and ‘Driving License’ – slowly improving his stock as an actor and showing us that he is more than a comedy/ mimicry artist. This year, however, he has stamped his presence with two brilliant films – ‘The Great Indian Kitchen’ and ‘Kaanekkane’. With his upcoming crime thriller, ‘Roy’, we could be seeing a trifecta of hits for Suraj in the year 2021.

‘The Great Indian Kitchen’ is easily one of the best Malayalam films of the year, probably even one of the best Indian films of the year. While ‘Kaanekkane’ is not as good as the aforementioned Malayalam movie, it is still quite a good film and Suraj’s acting is one of its biggest highlights. With these two films, Suraj has become a force to be reckoned with and a certified South Indian Superstar. If his upcoming feature film, ‘Roy’ is half as good as either of these two movies, we are looking at a possible contender for the position of the “South Indian Actor of the Year”.

Suraj’s upcoming film, ‘Roy’, follows a couple with two different personalities – Roy, an older introvert who likes to keeps to himself and Teena, a bubbly extrovert who is the life of a crowd. They have a good difference in age and are in different stages of their career, but it is quite evident that they love each other. Roy, an ex-librarian who lives in his ancestral house with Teena are currently working together on her first book. However, one day, two police officers Ajit Easwar and Asif Muhammaed come knocking who are searching for the veteran writer, Rajagopal. Being one of the last people to see him before he went missing, the police officers decide to dig into their relationship, hoping to find out something about their current case.

‘Roy’ is expected to release this year, however, we do not know how and when the movie will release. For now, we have to wait and see.
