After the stupendous success of Jai Bhim on Prime Video, all eyes are on Tamil superstar Suriya’s next release, Etharkkum Thunindhavan. The eagerly-awaited Sun Pictures’ production hits theatres worldwide on February 4th, 2022. This evening, the social media handles of Sun Pictures revealed a piece of super-interesting news for fans of Suriya – Etharkkum Thunindhavan will be a pan-India film, just like Suriya’s recent ‘Jai Bhim’.
Sun Pictures announced that Etharkkum Thunindhavan will release in theatres worldwide, and in five Indian languages – Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi. The production house also released a new poster for the film. The new Etharkkum Thunindhavan poster is resplendent in fiery colours of intense reds and passionate browns, speckled with electrifying yellow. Suriya stands tall in the centre of the poster, a flexed arm covering his face, exposing only his fierce eyes.
Suriya returns to the action thriller genre with Etharkkum Thunindhavan, but with a twist. The film will be a revenge thriller or maybe a survival thriller, set in the small town backdrop. The pan-India release of the film in 5 languages is certain to give a boost to Suriya’s stature in Indian cinema. The success of Soorarai Pottru and Jai Bhim has already made Hindi audiences familiar with the dashing star.
Etharkkum Thunindhavan is written and directed by Pandiraj and is being produced by Sun Pictures. The music for the movie is composed by D. Imman. The Director of Photography is acclaimed cinematographer Rathnavelu. Actress Priyanka Mohan is the female lead opposite Suriya, while Sathyaraj, Saranya Ponvannan, Devadarshini, Jayaprakash, and Ilavarasu play pivotal roles in Etharkkum Thunindhavan.
