Ever since the theatrical release of Suriya’s action thriller movie, ‘Etharkkum Thunindhavan’ on 10th March, cinephiles who had missed watching the film in cinemas have been waiting with bated breath for its release on OTT. Most of you might already be aware that the digital rights for the ‘Etharkkum Thunindhavan’, or simply ‘ET’, were bagged by the Sun NXT and Netflix OTT platforms.
However, ET’s exact streaming date on either of these OTT platforms was not officially confirmed until now. But now, we have a fantastic piece of update for Suriya’s diehard fans. Because the streaming date for ‘Etharkkum Thunindhavan’ has now been revealed by Netflix on its OTT app. ‘Etharkkum Thunindhavan’ is slated to start streaming on Netflix OTT platform from 7th April 2022 onwards.
Regarding the streaming date of ‘Etharkkum Thunindhavan’ on the Sun NXT OTT platform, the same could not be observed on the OTT app’s homepage at the time of writing this article. However, it is likely that the film might start streaming on the platform from 7th April 2022. Official confirmation is awaited in this regard.
Written and directed by Pandiraj, ‘Etharkkum Thunindhavan’ is an action thriller movie that revolves around the story of a High Court lawyer Kannabiran (Suriya) who is forced to go beyond the law after he loses a legal battle against a criminal mastermind Inba. Thereafter, the lawyer becomes the judge, jury, and executioner to deliver justice in his own way.
Unlike Suriya’s previous film ‘Jai Bhim’, which garnered consistent admiration from audience and critics alike, ‘Etharkkum Thunindhavan’ did not receive unanimous acclaim from the critics. However, the film has got a thumbs-up from viewers as per its impressive IMDb rating of 8.4/10. ET has also received praise for its performances.
